Sarah Blake

The world that opened,
as if Kanye were Hades and Taylor, Persephone,
and we all believed in the Greek myths and traveled back
in time to save her, to have our say, shake a fist.
I mean, everyone, just everyone, asks if I’ll write a poem
about the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.
What deep hole in the Earth is this?
